White Space

Walking into Neil Dawson's White Space is like entering eleven different galleries at once—each with white walls as an architectural frame, each offering a distinct proposition. Recurrent motifs appear throughout: chairs, ladders, walls, and boats, alongside long shadows and reflections. Colour is present not in mass but in refined line that defines space and form in ways both generic and precise. The works are intimate yet aspiring to grandeur—sculpture that describes and suggests simultaneously. Light, simple, and majestic, these pieces are mounted at varying heights across the white walls, each presenting a riddle cast in form and projection.
