Sombra

Sombra presents paintings by Oliver Perkins that examine structural autonomy and authorship in abstract work. The exhibition features works in acrylic, ink, oil and size on canvas, ranging from small studies to large-scale compositions. Perkins' practice engages with procedures over technique, allowing for discovery within a controlled formal framework. The work references modernist abstraction while introducing uncertainty through slight asymmetries and repetition. A forthcoming publication will feature Perkins' insert paintings and a full-length essay by Hamish Win.
