Ki te Ao Mārama brings together a series of works that trace the movement from darkness into illumination, from the first faint shimmer of awareness to the full radiance of understanding. Rooted in the creation narratives of Te Ao Māori, the works explore the moment when the children of Ranginui and Papatūānuku pushed apart the embrace of their parents, allowing space, breath, and light to enter the world.
