Bringing together the practices of Agneta Ekholm, Galia Gluckman and Elefteria Vlavianos, Where the Light Rests considers surface as a responsive field, shaped through touch, time and the quiet accumulation of process. Each artist works with acute sensitivity to material and its capacity to hold and register change. Gluckman builds surfaces through layering and reworking; Ekholm approaches painting with restraint through repetition and tonal calibration; Vlavianos employs wax to create surfaces that hold and diffuse light. Light moves differently across each practice—absorbed, interrupted, or suspended, never fixed but contingent on material and condition. Process remains visible throughout, with no attempt to conceal the act of making. The exhibition creates a space for proximity between these practices, inviting slower looking attuned to nuance and perception.
