For your eyes only builds on an Lett's enduring investigation into abstraction, colour and perception, Belem Lett presents a new body of painting and sculptural work that deepens his exploration of light as both subject and material. Continuing a practice distinguished by its intuitive precision, these works consider the ways colour inhabits space, how gesture records time, and how abstraction can evoke experiences that exist beyond language. Lett has developed a visual language grounded in the physical act of painting. His distinctive broad brushstrokes, once celebrated for their bold simplicity, have evolved into increasingly nuanced compositions where movement, atmosphere and luminosity converge. Each mark carries the trace of a lived gesture—an accumulation of rhythm, repetition and instinct that transforms the painted surface into a record of perception itself.
