Bodies of Excess is a collaborative performance installation that disrupts the expectation of the body as a fixed entity, instead embracing states of abjection and bodily excess — sweat, scars, and mutations become sites of transformation and power. It reckons with the contradictions of embodiment, from repressed awareness of fragility to the visceral encounter with flesh. When the body's seeming integrity as a contained unit unravels, revealing its lush, messy, and fleshy potential, what new modes of life might come into being?
