‘After Hours’ explores the nocturnal as both subject and method. The works trace social, cultural, and ecological processes that occur after the day has ended, when human infrastructures recede and alternate systems of ceremony and survival emerge. Bringing together 12 artists working in glass, sculpture, painting and video, the exhibition asks what becomes perceptible in darkness, and how night might be understood as a space of relation, resistance, and quiet transformation.
The DMG Curator Award offers guest curators a platform for realising an exhibition within a commercial gallery setting, supporting emerging and independent curatorial voices. DMG encourages curators to engage with the gallery's existing themes while developing their own distinct narrative and conceptual approach.
