Georgina Cue stages a cinematic installation that references Renaissance architectural drawing, Bauhaus theatre design, and Cartesian coordinates. The work presents an open, temporary structure that breaks the illusion of three-dimensional space, revealing the artist's hand and demystifying canonical references from Western art history. By exposing the construction of the set—its cardboard and thinness—Cue invites viewers to peer behind the fourth wall and reconsider how we arrived at contemporary art. The installation acts as a multidimensional meditation on art history, asking viewers to contemplate tradition from multiple angles while understanding how it was made.
