An exhibition celebrating Graham Hallett's 25 years with Lost Bear Gallery. Hallett, a practicing artist for nearly 50 years, has lived in the upper Blue Mountains for most of that time. The landscape has had a major influence on his work. These studio-produced paintings stem from observation, sketch notes and imagination. The forms of the land—shaped by time and elements—provide a visual vocabulary that Hallett tunes and arranges as composition. Without being bound to portrayal of a particular place or scene, each image becomes its own world: a memory, an encounter. The exhibition features works including Edge of Light, Forest Glen, Sentinel, Bare Mountain, Green Field, Confluence, Promontory, Forest Eye, Shadow Play, Stand, Equinox, Adumbratio, Three Companions, Modulation, Red Field, and Incline.
