The Patient Act of Seeing

A meditation on still-life painting and landscape. Oil paintings of domestic objects—bottles, vessels, fruit—arranged as intimate collections, alongside landscape studies from the goldfields around Creswick and Castlemaine, the Blue Mountains, and Sydney. Roberts' practice emphasizes patient observation and a contemplative approach to ordinary subjects, exploring themes of memory, presence, and the objects and places we carry with us.
