This is not my home, this is just where I live

This debut solo exhibition explores themes of memory, identity, mythology, and culture through textiles and ceramics. Working as a second-generation immigrant, the artist creates illustrative forms that draw on childhood experience and Macedonian folklore. Figures derived from folklore are reimagined as hybrid creatures merged with everyday family scenes, highlighting tensions between familiarity and strangeness. Soft textile forms meet glazed ceramic surfaces, reflecting duality between two homes and between the real and imagined. The works bring together fragments of childhood, cultural experience and storytelling with scenes of family life—gardens, animals, and everyday routines—evoking a place with blooming flowers and cooking food.
