Stripes

An exhibition featuring a single drawing by Tony Tuckson, alongside recent work by Martin Poppelwell. Poppelwell's worm ceramics are wall-mounted or floor-based sculptures in cream and black, coiling forms marked by stripes that band and repeat with their own strange logic. Works-on-paper and paintings accompany the sculptures, carrying the same vocabulary of stripes becoming grids and marks resolved into functional form.
