Don’t sit on the cake table

Through a series of hand-built ceramic sculptures, Omi McCurdie recreates iconic Australian birthday cakes from the 1980s and 1990s with subtle, humorous, and absurd interventions. The exhibition explores domestic rituals, memory, family, and ideas of masculinity and femininity across generations, extending beyond sculpture into sound and installation.
