Pete Groves

Melbourne artist Pete Groves creates acrylic paintings that blend nature, animals, and people through layered composition and stylised forms. His work draws on childhood experiences in the Yarra Valley and time spent in Mexico, where he developed an appreciation for storytelling and symbolism. Each painting combines spontaneity with careful planning, inviting viewers to discover narratives within landscapes and natural forms. Groves holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Swinburne Institute of Technology (1989). His work is represented in private collections across Australia, the USA, Japan and London, as well as institutional collections including BHP Billiton London, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, and Monash Medical Centre.
