Bird Watching Me

Curatorial+Co. presents a new body of work by First Nations and Hungarian artist Tiarna Herczeg. Bird Watching Me emerges from a period of change shaped by memory, dreaming, and becoming. Herczeg's paintings operate between figurative, abstract, and portraiture, serving as evidence of emotional, spiritual, and intuitive experiences. Through dreams guided by her ancestors, the works explore encounters where memory and the present become entangled. As the artist states, painting allows her to sit with experiences that resist language—dreams, feelings, and moments of recognition—without needing to resolve them.
