The Central is a dealer gallery in Ōtautahi Christchurch, now owned and operated by Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre. Housed in the Old Library Building between the North and South Quads, it represents contemporary New Zealand artists, with a strong focus on practitioners based in Waitaha Canterbury. The gallery combines rotating exhibitions with permanent display areas and interactive storage racks, designed to make art accessible to all visitors.
