Archive Lounge: The Art of the Map

A book without a map is like toast without butter. This exhibition explores the magic that maps bring to books, showcasing selections from the Robert and Barbara Stewart Library and Archive. Maps add value to books in multiple ways—some provide information that cannot be organized otherwise, some are purely decorative, and the best do both: telling readers something extra, imaginatively and beautifully.
